Microsoft's mobile software suite includes mobile versions of the software that you will be familiar with from your PC: Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, Pocket PowerPoint, Outlook and Pocket Internet Explorer.

We like Windows Mobile for the following reasons:

• Familiar programmes remove barriers to new ways of learning and working.
• Word has a spell checker which is essential for people who find spelling a challenge.
• Being able to use the calendar, tasks and reminders help you to be more organised and is a boon for people with short term memory problems.

Using a mobile device such as a PDA or Windows Mobile Phone brings enormous benefits:

• No longer are you tied to a computer or left waiting for it to boot up, with a mobile device you can access information wherever you are.
• You can work on your mobile device and then synchronise with your main computer so you keep everything up-to-date and not have duplicated work.
